MontanaView is a consortium of universities, non-profit organizations and government agencies working within Montana to advance the availability and timely distribution of remotely sensed data.
There are two ways to find imagery in the MontanaView archive: you can do a map search
or a text/coordinate search.
Once you have identified an area of interest, you will see a list of remotely-sensed images that correspond to your chosen area. View the images and/or download them for your own use. The images are zipped TIF files that can be extracted and viewed with various GIS and remoste sensing software packages.
The MontanaView archive consists of images in the public domain. Images accessed via the Viewer are provided to you free of charge and can be used for applications such as research, education, business or recreation.
For more information on how to use this imagery, visit the MontanaView Education page.
